Complaint Review and Resolution Process

Once a written complaint is received by the College, an attempt will be made to resolve the issue in a timely manner (within 30 days in most cases) by working with the student and the appropriate College of Charleston employee(s) and department(s) to assure a fair process. A decision on the complaint will be provided as soon as feasible. Once a resolution has been proposed, the student will be prompted with an email to accept or decline the proposed resolution. The student will also need to provide an explanation for his/her decision to accept or decline the proposed resolution.
